Storybox Drama offers immersive, story-based drama classes in Christchurch where exceptional children's books and visual art become rich worlds for imagination, creativity, and exploration.
Led by an experienced primary drama specialist teacher, our weekly classes and school holiday workshops use a creative, playful approach to process drama, inviting children to step inside stories in a calm, supportive space free from performance pressure.
As children imagine, collaborate, and shape stories from the inside out, they develop confidence, communication skills, empathy, creative thinking, and a lifelong love of stories.
What makes us different?
At Storybox Drama, we use an approach called Process Drama a creative, exploratory approach where children learn through imagined worlds rather than performance.
We encourage children to explore, improvise, and shape stories together, all inspired by quality children’s books.

What do children gain from our classes?
Classes are carefully planned and tailored to each group. Small class sizes ensure meaningful participation and individual attention. Our classes are led by an experienced primary drama specialist teacher. Your child will develop:
